There are several differences between Obama and McCain, one difference is seen how the interacted with each other. Obama kept on bringing up the fact that almost every bill that Bush backed was also back by McCain, he was using this as a way of influencing people to not vote for McCain because he is associated with a president that not many people liked. Obama was on the offense when it came to attacking McCain and McCain was on the defense. Another way that they are different was seen in their tone. Obama came out feeling pretty confident, we could see this by the way the acted on stage. He had a pretty steady pace when he was talking and sounded very upbeat. McCain started out the debate very down beat with a very somber feeling to his tone of voice. He did not seem as engaging in the beginning of the debate, but as the debate went more in depth he got more engaged in the debate. I believe that McCain won this debate because he is looking out for the need of individuals instead of just companies like Obama. He is looking out for the economy and budget spending.

As we saw in the first presidential debate, Senator Obama and Senator McCain are very similar in several different ways. In their appearance, both Obama and McCain were dressed in a patriotic fashion having on red ties, blue suits and white shirts. The both had similar views of how to solve the problems with the economy. McCain is for giving money back to the people through tax cuts and vetoing bills that will raise taxes. . Obama is for helping home owners so that foreclosures do not occur as much. He is also for protecting tax payers by supplying oversight over the whole process, by finding ways for tax payers to get the money back that they give, and by making sure that the taxes do not get put into promoting golden parachutes. Both candidates want to get the middle class back on track ,and both want to get rid of the dependence of foreign oils.
